Who is HeartWell Institute?

The HeartWell Institute's mission is to foster collective healing through stress-reduction programs, mindfulness classes, and contemplative practices. We have a two-fold approach; first, we focus on building capacity and resilience for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and those underrepresented in our society by breaking down barriers of access to mental health, wellness, and education. Second, we are committed to supporting the health and wellness of mental health providers, educators, and our whole community.

BEHIND HEARTWELL
The HeartWell Logo exemplifies the power of connection and unity of enlightened minds and open hearts. The eight hearts, each representing different colors of the light spectrum, come together to create a lotus flower, symbolizing the path of awakening and enlightenment. The colors of each heart becomes more vibrant by  connecting  to the hearts beside them. The overlay of each hearts depicts eight individuals with their heads (minds) together to form a circle, representing power of teamwork and community. Together they are one. The negative space inside the circle they create, honors the pure light from which the spectrum of color came from. The number 8 itself represents all that is infinite, limitless and eternal. Similarly, the endless outline of the hearts reminds us that what give to others will continue on to come back to ourselves.
